Politics | Cheryl Hines Cheryl Hines: Caroline Kennedy's Criticism Made Me Angry And she's none too happy with Caroline's son, either By Evann Gastaldo Posted Aug 12, 2025 5:21 AM CDT Updated Aug 16, 2025 12:57 PM CDT Copied Robert F. (AP Photo/Ben Curtis) Cheryl Hines has mystified many with her transition from beloved star of a show about California liberals to friend of President Trump. The actor delves into her marriage to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and how she feels about all the controversy now surrounding her in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, in which she reveals how she felt when RFK Jr.'s cousin, Caroline Kennedy, called him a hypocrite and a "predator" and urged the Senate not to confirm him. "Her comments did make me angry," Hines says. "I didn't understand why she called him a predator—that didn't make sense to me, but [she] clearly wanted to use a word that would strike people. ... I was surprised because we never see her or talk to her." She also addressed comments from Caroline Kennedy's son, Jack Schlossberg, who asked Hines in a social media video to apologize to the family of a child who recently died amid the ongoing measles outbreak. "Her son's behavior—I don't even want to say anything, because anything I say, he's going to think, he's going to be, umm, excited that someone's talking about him," Hines said of Schlossberg. "I don't understand what's going on with him." For much more on what's currently going through Hines' head, see the full interview. Read These Next He's now the Andrew formerly known as a prince.
