President Trump is again circulating AI-generated religious imagery of himself, this time with a picture of Jesus hugging him against a backdrop of the American flag. The image had appeared on the X account of Irish for Trump, and Trump reposted it Wednesday on Truth Social with the caption, "The Radical Left Lunatics might not like this, but I think it is quite nice!!!" The picture's original caption frames Trump as a kind of divine counter to "satanic" forces. "God might be playing his Trump card!" it quipped.

The move follows a backlash earlier in the week over a different AI image Trump shared, which depicted him in a Christ-like pose helping a sick person; Trump later deleted the image and said he thought the image portrayed him as a doctor.
