New York's long wait for an NBA Finals return is turning into a big—and pricey—party. Seats for Games 3 and 4 at Madison Square Garden range from $2,000 to more than $6,000 in presale, and they were going on resale sites for a staggering $85,000, reports the New York Times. Amid the sky-high prices, the Knicks are carving out space for fans who'd never get in otherwise, notes NBC Sports. The team, through its Garden of Dreams Foundation, will give 250 free tickets to underprivileged youth for each home Finals game, including a Game 6 should the series go that long.
\With the Garden's capacity capped, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani says the city is also planning to set up free watch parties across the five boroughs. The Finals open Wednesday, with the San Antonio Spurs hosting the first two games before the series shifts to a charged-up New York. The Knicks have not been in the Finals since 1999.
