Britain's royal family has officially welcomed a new member: Harriet Sperling, the NHS pediatric nurse who on Saturday married Peter Phillips, King Charles' eldest nephew, in a private church ceremony in Kemble, Gloucestershire. Sperling, 45, who has written candidly about a decade of raising her daughter as a single parent and her Christian faith under the byline Harriet Sanders, walked up the aisle in an Emilia Wickstead gown, Pragnell tiara, and Jimmy Choo shoes, the BBC reports. Her teenage daughter Georgina joined Phillips' daughters Savannah and Isla as bridesmaids. The tiara was a break from royal trends, per People: Queen Camilla did not wear one for her 2005 ceremony.

The guest list of more than 100 underlined the wedding's status on the royal calendar: King Charles and Queen Camilla attended before flying by helicopter to the Epsom Derby, joined at the church by family members including Prince William and his wife, Kate. Phillips, 48, who was divorced from Autumn Phillips in 2021, began dating Sperling around 2024 after they reportedly met at a children's sports event. Since then, the pair have been regulars at royal fixtures including Royal Ascot, Wimbledon's Royal Box, and Prince William's charity polo, before confirming their engagement in August 2025. Phillips is the son of Princess Anne, Charles' sister, and her first husband, Mark Phillips, per the AP.
