A former New York modeling agent has been dragged into the glare around Jeffrey Epstein's contacts. In a detailed Washington Post investigation, reporters trace how Ramsey Elkholy, now a California musician, emailed Epstein for a decade starting in 2009, pitching models as young as 18 as potential contacts and leveraging Epstein's ties to Victoria's Secret and designer Vera Wang for favors. Elkholy, who would benefit financially from a client's raised profile, frames it as transactional networking, telling the Post "everybody wanted to be in the room with Epstein" and insisting he did nothing illegal and that no victim is "connected" to him. However, one anonymous victim previously claimed Elkholy introduced her to Epstein.

The Post's review of more than 100 emails shows Elkholy using graphic language and joking about Epstein's preference for younger women. Shortly after Epstein was released from jail in 2009, Elkholy proposed a model as a "coming out gift," noting he "wanted to tear her clothes off immediately" when he first met her, the Post reports. Two years later, Elkholy told Epstein a 20-something model was "desperate for cash" and that he should "try her in bed," per the BBC. He now says he's "ashamed" of his language, which included "lies" meant to impress Epstein, and says many of the mentioned meetings didn't happen. Advocates say his role shows how the modeling industry acted as a "recruitment channel" for Epstein. For the full reporting, read the detailed piece at the Post.
