Chris Coons is back home after a multi-car crash Sunday left him with what his office described as minor injuries, reports NBC News. Coons was a passenger in one of several vehicles hit when a Delaware driver "experienced a medical incident and collided with several cars," his office said. The Democrat was taken to Beebe Hospital for treatment; the nature of his injuries wasn't disclosed. Officials haven't yet released details on the conditions of others involved or the precise location of the crash. Coons' office said he's expected to make a full and quick recovery, and Coons issued a statement on X: "I'm deeply grateful to the first responders for their prompt and professional response, including the Lewes Police Department, Lewes and Rehoboth Fire Departments, and Sussex County Emergency Medical Services, as well as the capable doctors and nurses at Beebe Hospital, where I received excellent care.
