The strange part, however, is that midfielder Jordan Henderson suffered the injury after the game ended and as his team was celebrating its win over Mexico on Sunday, reports the BBC. Henderson landed awkwardly after falling over an advertising board—the team had gathered there to sing the Oasis song "Wonderwall," which has become their anthem in the tournament, per People. Henderson, 36, was stretchered off the field after receiving oxygen. "It's quite serious," team manager Thomas Tuchel told reporters. "He's in hospital." Henderson, a former captain of Liverpool, is a reserve player on the team, per the Athletic. His injury is believed to be serious enough to require surgery, according to the BBC. England's next game is Saturday against Norway.
