ICE is putting most of its traffic stops on hold nationwide after two fatal shootings within a week, reports Reuters and the New York Times. The move, which has not been publicly announced, comes after federal agents fatally shot an immigrant in Texas last week and another in Maine on Monday. Susan Collins, up for reelection in a closely watched race, had urged Homeland Security chief Markwayne Mullin to "cease all non-urgent vehicle stops" after the shooting in her state.
