Notorious Tate Brothers Arrested Again in Miami

Two of the internet's most polarizing influencers were taken into custody in Miami on Saturday, this time at the request of British authorities. Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested by US marshals on a sealed UK warrant tied to a sprawling set of sexual offense and trafficking charges, reports the Guardian. Britain is seeking the extradition of the dual US-British citizens, per the AP.

• Britain's Crown Prosecution Service says Andrew Tate, 39, now faces seven fresh rape counts, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault causing actual bodily harm, and 19 additional charges involving indecent images of a child and extreme pornography.
• Tristan Tate, 38, faces new counts including two of rape, one of sexual assault, and three related to trafficking for sexual exploitation.
• UK prosecutors say the alleged offenses date from 2010 to 2017 and involve seven alleged victims, bringing the total number of charges against the brothers to 59. "These charging decisions followed receipt of a further file of evidence from Bedfordshire police," said Malcolm McHaffie of the UK's Crown Prosecution Service.

The men, who have millions of online followers and promote a hypermasculine lifestyle, have denied wrongdoing. A lawyer for them said they are innocent and plan to challenge the arrest. They also face separate criminal cases in both the UK and Romania over rape, human trafficking, and related allegations. The brothers were in detention in Romania last year, but flew to Florida when they were allowed to leave the country. The brothers appear to have strong allies within President Trump's orbit.
