The 10 Worst Cities for Bed Bugs

Chicago just snagged a six-peat no city wants: Orkin says it has the nation's worst bed bug problem for the sixth straight year. The pest control company's annual ranking is based on residential and commercial treatments from May 2025 to May 2026, per Travel and Leisure. Densely populated cities with high turnover of visitors face the biggest challenge, the company says, while Ohio stands out with six cities in the top 50. The 10 worst offenders:

5. Indianapolis
6. Springfield, Illinois
7. Washington, DC
8. Columbus, Ohio
9. Pittsburgh
