Four players are set to tie the knot on the very same Saturday, Nov. 14, creating a wedding logjam that has teammates and staff joking about how to handle their RSVPs, per USA Today. Second baseman Luke Keaschall, shortstop Ryan Kreidler, third baseman Brooks Lee, and pitcher Cole Sands all booked the date without realizing the overlap, only comparing notes at spring training, per MLB.com. The timing, Lee explained, aims for a post-World Series window but avoids running into Thanksgiving. Manager Derek Shelton, whose anniversary falls the next day and who'll be in Napa, California, to celebrate that event, teased his players about the scheduling crunch and advised them to invite him anyway for the gift haul. Lee and Keaschall's ceremonies will be near each other in Central California, potentially allowing for some "double dipping" by teammates. As for the grooms, they insist the real focus isn't logistics. "Just seeing her, I think that's the best part," Keaschall said of fiancee Madeline Matlock, while Lee predicted he'll be in tears, handkerchief at the ready.
