Officials: 3 Dead in NC Home Shooting

A morning call to a home in rural North Carolina ended with authorities discovering a family shooting, officials say. Caswell County deputies were dispatched just before 8am Wednesday to a residence on Brooks Road in Prospect Hill, where they found several people shot, reports NBC News. Three adults, including the suspect, are dead, and another adult victim was transported to a hospital; all are members of the same family, reports WFMY. Officials have not released the names of the victims or suspect. They say the violence was confined to the residence and that there is no ongoing threat to the wider community.
