Her Preaching During Delay Got Her Kicked Off the Plane

A Florida evangelist's in-flight sermon ended with an escort off the plane—and a ban from the airline. Whitney Lynn, who has hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram and TikTok, began preaching in the aisle of Alaska Airlines Flight 708 as it sat delayed in Orlando on July 30, telling passengers that "God's timing is perfect" and that Jesus "died on the cross" for their sins, Florida Today reports. "God knows everything," she declared. "And maybe he's sparing us from danger today."

• Alaska Airlines said in a statement that the crew became "increasingly concerned about a guest's behavior on board the aircraft, which was also affecting other guests" and asked her to deplane "for safety reasons."

The carrier says she's now barred from flying with them "for the foreseeable future." Lynn later filmed herself in the terminal telling a crowd she had been removed "for telling people about Jesus" and warning Christians that "these are the end times." Her social media shows similar public preaching on other flights, as well as in restaurants and thrift stores. In the videos, some of the establishments ask her to leave. In a social media post after she was kicked off the flight, she claimed she had converted the shuttle driver who took her to a hotel, the New York Post reports. "Looking back, I can clearly see God's hand in it all," she wrote.
