An influencer whose case drew national attention has admitted killing her boyfriend and will spend years in state prison in Florida. Former OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney on Monday pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the April 2022 stabbing of 27-year-old Christian Obumseli at their Miami condo, avoiding a possible 30-year sentence on a second-degree murder charge, NBC News reports. She has been in custody since she was arrested in Hawaii in August 2022, WPLG reports.

Clenney, 30, received six years in prison with credit for time served—meaning she's expected to serve roughly two more years—followed by five years of probation and mandatory mental health treatment. Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said Obumseli's relatives approved the deal and "finally heard what they long sought: Courtney Clenney accepting full responsibility for his death." Prosecutors had portrayed Obumseli as a domestic violence victim in a volatile relationship, while Clenney's lawyers maintained she acted in self-defense. Under the plea deal, Clenney will not be allowed to financially benefit from the case, KLTV reports.
