Zelensky: Russia Is Sunk Without North Korea

Russia's missiles in Ukraine aren't all Russian, according to Volodymyr Zelensky. The Ukrainian president said Monday that Moscow used North Korean ballistic missiles in overnight strikes on Zaporizhzhia that left at least six dead and 19 injured, reports the BBC. "This is the first time in Russia's history when they no longer have a strategic reserve," said Zelensky, per the Kyiv Post. "For the first time, they cannot wage war without help from North Korea."

The comments follow Zelensky's assertion over the weekend that up to 50,000 North Korean soldiers are being sent to fight alongside Russian forces, an assertion that has not been independently verified. The Ukraine leader warned that the war is serving as a training ground for North Korean troops, which he warned has dire international consequences. Meanwhile, the cross-border attacks cut both ways: Ukraine hit a petrochemical plant in western Siberia, which Zelensky called a major success, and reportedly struck warehouses of Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries in Voronezh, a frequent recent target.
