Another person has been found dead at Burning Man, casting a shadow over the closing days of the massive Nevada desert gathering that draws tens of thousands each year. Organizers said 60-year-old participant Craigh Mann was found dead by his campmates in Black Rock City around 3pm Saturday; they did not release a cause of death but offered condolences to his family, friends, and fellow campers, Fox News reports. Another man, in his mid-50s, died after a medical emergency on Thursday. The festival, which concludes Monday, has been "particularly eventful" this year, the San Francisco Chronicle reports, with weather disruptions, dozens of drug arrests, and the eviction of a Christian missionary camp.

One of the roughly 70,000 people gathered in Nevada's Black Rock Desert for Burning Man has died after a medical emergency, organizers say. The Los Angeles Times reports that the man, described only as being in his mid-50s, was taken to the event's on-site medical facility, where he was pronounced dead, according to a Thursday statement from the Burning Man Project. The statement went to say that the man had "immediately received lifesaving measures" before taken to the medical site, per NBC News. The group didn't detail the nature of the emergency or identify the attendee, simply noting that its "deepest condolences" went out to his loved ones.

Pershing County Sheriff Jerry Allen says foul play doesn't appear to be involved, reports People. The weeklong festival, which began Sunday and runs through Labor Day, has been hit with bouts of heavy rain and wind that temporarily closed entrance gates; organizers, however, said the incident didn't appear to be related to the weather, per the Times. Burning Man has seen a series of serious episodes in recent years, including a homicide case last year after a man was found dead in a pool of blood as the event's central wooden effigy burned. SFGate has more on the "weather fail" for this year's fest.
