Gianni Infantino is not heeding the calls to step down as president of world soccer's governing body. FIFA confirmed Sunday that he plans to seek a fourth term in 2027, despite mounting pressure over an abandoned plan to sell slices of FIFA's commercial rights to private investors, Yahoo Sports reports. The organization's board reaffirmed its "full support" for Infantino last month. "Nothing has changed," the organization said in a statement Sunday, "Mr. Infantino will be standing for re-election." Candidates must file to run in next presidential contest by Nov. 18, per the AP, four months ahead of the vote.
