Air travel was a mess in the UK on Tuesday. Travelers moving through some of Britain's biggest airports ran into chaos tied to a glitch in the country's air-traffic control system, reports Reuters. NATS, the national provider, said a problem in its "flight-processing system" was limiting traffic even though UK airspace remained open, and warned that restoring normal operations would "take some time."
Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Stansted, Luton, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Dublin all reported disruption. Data from FlightAware showed at least 300 flights canceled, per the AP.
