Ukraine's president may have had a close call in the skies over Moldova, the Washington Post reports. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store said Wednesday that a drone threat near Chisinau delayed Volodymyr Zelensky's flight to Oslo, where he was headed Tuesday for King Harald V's funeral. Store, speaking to Norway's public broadcaster, indicated the drone came near the plane, but details on the device, its origin, and proximity remain unclear.

Moldova briefly shut its airspace Tuesday after detecting an "aerial target," and Moldovan authorities later confirmed that drone incursion caused Zelensky's flight to be delayed, the AP reports. Two drones entered Moldovan airspace; one crashed in a field and started a fire while the other one traveled into Romanian airspace, Reuters reports. Moldova's prime minister says more than 30 drones have entered Moldovan airspace this year amid intensified Ukrainian-Russian strikes. President Maia Sandu warned that Russia's military pressure is edging westward and argued that bolstering Ukraine's air defenses is becoming urgent.
