Lady Gaga's "Mother Monster" nickname just got a real-life twist. The 40-year-old singer and her fiance, tech entrepreneur Michael Polansky, have welcomed their first child together, a source tells People. Representatives for Gaga haven't confirmed the birth. Page Six—which has photos of the couple strolling in Northern California, an infant held close against Gaga's chest in a carrier—first reported the news. Gaga has been open for years about wanting children, calling motherhood her hoped-for "next starring role" during an October Late Show appearance. She has also told Entertainment Weekly in the past that she "was so excited to settle down and start a family" with Polansky, and that "that's something that we both want."

The star has also spoken about already feeling maternal toward her fans and once joked that her home office was called "the Womb," per People. Gaga and Polansky, 42, who runs the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, were first tied together in early 2020 after being spotted in Las Vegas and at the Super Bowl; they later quarantined together during the pandemic. The couple tend to keep their relationship low-key, though Gaga casually revealed their engagement at the 2024 Paris Olympics, introducing Polansky as "my fiance" in a TikTok posted by French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal. No details on the baby's name, gender, or birth date have been made public.
