Apple is cutting checks over Siri that could range from lunch money to something more substantial. The company has agreed to a $250 million settlement over claims it hyped up AI-powered Siri upgrades on the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 lineup, then shipped devices with more limited features than promised, reports the Verge. US buyers of those models between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, can now file online for an estimated $25 per phone.

The potential payout, however, could reach up to $95, depending on how many people end up participating in the class-action suit. The complaint said that Apple set up a "clear and reasonable consumer expectation" around new AI tools. Apple denies wrongdoing. A name, contact info, and serial number are required to make a claim, with a deadline of Dec. 21. As for when affected consumers can expect to see a payment, Axios notes that a final approval hearing has been set for Feb. 24; payments could be sent out not long after that, if there are no appeals.
