Dolly Parton's studio swan song is heading to a U2 album, not Nashville, ABC News reports. Bono tells Rolling Stone that Parton's final vocal recording is a duet with him on "Torn," the closing track of U2's upcoming album, Carnaval de Luz, due out Nov. 13. The icon, who died last month at age 80, shares writing credit on the song with U2 and Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid, and Bono says she recorded the part in June, getting "out of her bed to sing this song" after falling ill.

Producer Garret "Jacknife" Lee says Parton signed off on the final mix and was pleased with her performance. Bono first approached her for a different, Irish folk-inspired project, but he says she passed on that—then brought him "Torn" instead. The song is described as "a tender country song detailing broken family ties that holds wider resonances." Carnaval de Luz is U2's first full-length album of new music in nine years, the AP reports.
