Chris Hansen has seen Robert Pattinson's turn as a Hansen-like TV host in the movie Primetime—and he's not happy. In a video clip posted to X, the 67-year-old To Catch a Predator figure calls the A24 film "bizarre," saying it slips "in and out of reality" and bears little resemblance to anything he experienced when he worked on the network show, reports People. "I'm not sure what the point of it was," he adds, noting he's "obviously not objective because the character is, you know, me."
Hansen had previously criticized the film based on the trailer and has floated the possibility of legal action given the use of his name in the film. It's set back in 2006, when the show was a phenomenon for NBC as it set out to lure and trap sexual predators of underage victims, per Screen Rant. The movie opened Friday to decent reviews: It has an 87% positive rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
