A key architect of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s "Make America Healthy Again" campaign is leaving the Trump administration, frustrated at the pace of change. Calley Means, a senior adviser to Kennedy who had been working out of the White House on food and nutrition policy, resigned Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reports. People familiar with the situation said Means grew exasperated as the White House stalled on several Kennedy-backed food initiatives, including an official definition of "ultraprocessed" foods and new rules to cut added sugar and boost protein in school meals.

Others in the MAHA movement share Means' frustration, Politico reports. It's had successes with the administration's backing has but been disappointed by administration actions aiding the pesticide industry, as well as promises to change food policy that haven't been carried out. Means, who reportedly clashed with colleagues in the West Wing, issued a statement saying he still supports Trump and Kennedy. "This movement is in the first inning and just getting started," he said.
