(AP Photo/Stefano Medici) Amanda Knox was telling the truth when she said she was lying, a neurologist testified today. Professor Carlo Caltagirone, the final witness in Knox's 8-month trial, backed up the suspect's claim that she had confessed to overhearing Meredith Kercher's murder because of stress, the Daily Mail reports. "Situations of stress and tension can create false flashbacks,” Caltagirone said. "She would have said anything to reduce the tension and stress and make the people questioning her happy," Caltagirone added. Knox’s lawyer has said Knox endured more than 40 hours of questioning over a 4-day period. At the time, Knox told police she "covered her ears" when bar owner Patrick Lumumba "killed Meredith." Lumumba, who is not a suspect, has filed suit against Knox for defamation. Read These Next Trump offers a solution to end the government shutdown.
