A midair electrical issue sent a United Airlines flight to an unscheduled stop in London on Tuesday, People reports. The Zurich-to-Newark Boeing 767-300 diverted to Heathrow after a small fire broke out in a power outlet, the airline said. Crew members quickly put out the blaze, and the flight declared a general emergency—squawking code 7700—about 50 minutes after takeoff, per AirLive.

United says passengers exited normally at the gate once the plane landed, and no injuries were reported. Flight-tracking data from FlightAware shows the jet was in the air for roughly 90 minutes before touching down in London around 10:48am local time. The carrier didn't say what sparked the outlet fire. The diversion comes on the heels of another incident involving a United flight headed to Newark: a Boeing 767-400 arriving from Venice struck a light pole and then a bakery truck near the New Jersey Turnpike on Sunday, sending the truck's driver to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to state police.
