Singer Oliver Tree's world tour came to a sudden and tragic end in Brazil Sunday, People reports. The 32-year-old American musician and comedian was among six people killed when two helicopters collided over Rio de Janeiro, according to Brazilian police and local media reports. There were no survivors. Tree, known for tracks including "Life Goes On" and "Miss You," had performed in São Paulo on June 6 and was scheduled to play Lisbon on July 1 as part of a global tour.

Authorities say five people were aboard one helicopter and the pilot was alone in the other. Rio's Military Fire Department said one aircraft crashed into a car dealership parking lot and sparked a fire, the AP reports. A witness says he saw a passenger jump out of one of the helicopters before it crashed to the ground, calling the incident "absolutely horrifying." The Civil Police said forensic teams are working to formally identify the victims and are awaiting an aeronautical accident report, with the cause still under investigation. Other victims named by CNN Brazil include Argentine YouTuber Gaspar Prim, 23, who posted under the name Gaspi, along with Lucas Vignale, Lucas Brito Chaves, and pilots Alexandre Souza and Charles Marsillac. Tree released his latest album, Love You Madly Hate You Badly, in April. Kid Cudi was among the artists mourning him, Deadline reports.
