Pelosi's Husband Faces Hit-and-Run Charges

Nancy Pelosi's husband is again facing legal trouble behind the wheel, this time over an alleged hit-and-run in California wine country. The Napa County Sheriff's Office says Paul Pelosi, 86, struck a parked car in Yountville on Friday, briefly stopped, then drove off, reports NBC News. Deputies came across Pelosi about a quarter-mile away, stopped in his damaged brown convertible, per NPR. "Pelosi admitted to hitting something, but said he did not know what he had hit, so he kept driving," says a police statement. "He drove until his car became disabled and was no longer able to continue driving."

A witness reported seeing the crash—the parked car was heavily damaged—and the fleeing vehicle. A preliminary test found no alcohol in Pelosi's system, and he was not arrested. No injuries were reported, and the sheriff's office recommended a misdemeanor charge of fleeing the scene of an accident. Pelosi previously pleaded guilty to a DUI in Napa County in 2022. He was also injured in a high-profile hammer attack at his home in 2024.
