The world still hasn't seen Taylor Swift's dress from her Madison Square Garden nuptials, but it does know the winner of what the New York Times calls the "wedding dress sweepstakes." That would be Jonathan Anderson of the French fashion house Christian Dior. It's a huge win for the buzzy 41-year-old designer, the fashion house, and parent company LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), notes the Wall Street Journal. Some thought Swift would go with American designer Ralph Lauren, but Anderson came out the winner after Swift and longtime stylist Joseph Cassell were "swamped" with designs from across the world, many unsolicited, per the Hollywood Reporter.

"This is the designer's first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity," Swift publicist Tree Paine wrote in a statement about the Dior commission. Kelce also wore custom Dior Haute Couture. Anderson is a native of Northern Ireland who took the helm at Dior last spring. He has previously designed for the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron, Rihanna, ASAP Rocky, Miley Cyrus, Al Pacino, and Robert Pattinson. In choosing Dior for her wedding dress, Swift followed the lead of Princess Caroline of Monaco, model Miranda Kerr, and first lady Melania Trump.
