2 of Brad Pitt's Kids Run Ads to Announce Name Changes

Two of Brad Pitt's children are one legal step away from dropping his last name. Court records reviewed by TMZ show that 21-year-old Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, one of Pitt and ex-wife Angelina Jolie's six children, has completed California's requirement to publicly announce her intent to become Zahara Marley Jolie by running a notice in the Los Angeles Daily Journal once a week for four weeks. A judge is set to consider the petition at a Sept. 28 hearing, where anyone with objections can weigh in.

Her brother, 24-year-old Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt, has also run the required Daily Journal ads, seeking a change to Maddox Chivan Jolie, reports Page Six. Maddox filed for the change in May. Zahara filed for the change in June and has long gone by "Jolie" in public, including at her graduation in May. She follows sister Shiloh, who formally removed "Pitt" from her name in 2024. Sister Vivienne has also stopped using Pitt's surname.
