Tiger Woods Expected to Change Not Guilty Plea

Tiger Woods is set to appear before a Florida judge Wednesday and signal he wants to change course. Court records show the 15-time major winner has a "change of plea" hearing in Martin County, five months after his March rollover crash led to misdemeanor DUI and refusal to submit to testing charges, plus a careless driving citation, CNN reports. Woods previously pleaded not guilty. It's not yet clear how his plea might shift or whether prosecutors have offered a deal.

Deputies said Woods' SUV crossed double lines, clipped a vehicle towing a trailer, and flipped, with Woods later blaming distraction from his phone and radio. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests and had prescription opioids on him, telling deputies he'd taken "a few" medications but no alcohol. Court records show that the 50-year-old, who has yet to return to tournament play after the crash, has traveled outside the US to seek treatment, the AP reports.
