Perez Hilton's recent mental health crisis may have been even more dangerous than first reported. Citing dispatch call logs, TMZ reports that the celebrity blogger allegedly said during a livestreamed TikTok that he wanted to die via "suicide by cops" and was willing to harm officers to make that happen. The documents indicate that fire and rescue crews were initially told to leave the area near Hilton's Miami home, only to be called back roughly two hours later before entering with police.
The episode began when Hilton's sister dialed 911 after reportedly finding him bloodied and behaving oddly; she grabbed his children and left the house. Hilton was hospitalized with multiple injuries, including broken bones, and an overdose, and is believed to be in an inpatient mental health facility. Citing a self-proclaimed family friend who talked to the Daily Mail, In Touch reports that the 48-year-old (real name: Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr.) "is not all there," believing that it's 2016 and for some reason asking for singer Katy Perry, whom he's been calling his "best friend."
"He feels very isolated at the moment, very alone," claims the source. "He's being really hard on himself, regretting all these things that he has done and where life is now. He's despondent. He's nowhere near ready to get out. He's got a very, very long way to go." The Hollywood Reporter has a deeper dive into "the tragedy of Perez Hilton," including his "past toxicity."
