If you're judging airlines like a Hollywood awards show, Singapore Airlines just snagged the big Oscar. The carrier has been named Skytrax's airline of the year for 2026, its sixth win in the survey-based rankings and a reclaiming of the title from Qatar Airways, which fell to No. 2, reports CNN. Singapore Airlines also topped the "economy class" and "economy class catering" categories. The awards landed as executives weighed higher fuel costs, geopolitical conflicts, aircraft delays, and what Skytrax's CEO called "a bit of a bad year" for aviation. Here, the top 10:

  1. Singapore Airlines
  2. Qatar Airways
  3. Cathay Pacific
  4. ANA/All Nippon Airways
  5. Turkish Airlines
  6. Emirates
  7. Air France
  8. Hainan Airlines
  9. Japan Airlines
  10. Korean Air
