Jennifer Eckhart, who once worked as an associate producer at Fox Business, has died at age 36 in Florida, People reports. Deputies with the Martin County Sheriff's Office found her dead in her home on Saturday morning; the sheriff's office confirmed the death was ruled a suicide. Eckhart spent seven years at Fox News and drew national attention in 2020 when she accused then-Fox anchor Ed Henry of rape and other sexual misconduct, allegations he denied. Henry was fired over misconduct claims, and Eckhart later sued him and the network, TMZ reports. Fox News was ultimately dropped from the case, and she reached a settlement with Henry in 2025 after what she called an "exhaustive, re-traumatizing" five-year legal fight.

In recent years, she founded The Reinvented Project, a nonprofit using animal-assisted therapy to support trauma survivors, and launched the podcast REINVENTED with Jen Eckhart to highlight those stories. Her last Instagram post, shared June 1, showed her in Florida and referenced "working on some exciting stuff." According to USA Today, her mother found her dead in her bathtub; according to a responding deputy, she had "a large laceration to the front of her throat/neck and there was a folding pocketknife next to her right hand."
