President Trump has not yet weighed in on the failure of US and Iranian negotiators to strike a deal after a marathon negotiating session, but he didn't sound much fazed at the prospect on Saturday. "Whether we make a deal or not makes no difference to me," Trump told reporters in the afternoon. "And the reason is because we've won." The president reiterated his assertion that US-Israeli strikes had decimated the Iranian military and said the US has begun sweeping the Strait of Hormuz for mines. (That mission appeared to start on Saturday, though there's much uncertainty about it.)

Later Saturday, Trump attended an Ultimate Fighting Championship match in Miami, reports the New York Times. It wasn't clear if Trump knew the talks had failed by the time he was watching the mixed martial arts event, but the newspaper notes that Secretary of State Marco Rubio leaned in at one point to show Trump his phone screen, though Trump "didn't betray disappointment or anger."
