Dan Sullivan said Sunday that he's putting no conditions on his recognition of the upcoming Senate election's outcome in Alaska. Pressed on CNN's State of the Union about whether he'll only recognize Tuesday's official count if he wins, per the Hill, the Republican incumbent said, "No, I'm going to accept the election results." The Justice Department, on the other hand, has filed a lawsuit to block certification should Democrat Mary Peltola prevail. President Trump has said the suit was filed on his orders. Sullivan has accused Peltola and national Democrats of engineering a "ballot-stacking" scheme by encouraging another candidate named Dan Sullivan to enter the race, allegations they deny. The senator said in the interview that he expects the presence of the second Sullivan to affect the count. "I'm sure I'm going to lose a lot of votes to that trickery," he said. He handed out candy on Saturday night at an event north of Anchorage, per the AP, saying his costume was "the real Dan Sullivan."
