Drake just nudged Michael Jackson out of a key Billboard record slot. With "Janice STFU" debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Drake now holds the mark for the most chart-topping singles by a solo male artist, Variety reports. The song is his 14th No. 1, pulling him into a tie with Rihanna and Taylor Swift among all acts; only Mariah Carey (19) and the Beatles (20) have more. The CBC notes that Drake has repeatedly referenced Jackson in recent years, including on the cover of new album Iceman, which features a rhinestone-studded glove.

  • Fueled by three new albums released May 15—Iceman, Maid of Honour, and Habibti—Drake also sets a new record for most Hot 100 entries in a single week, landing 42 songs on the chart and surpassing Morgan Wallen's previous high of 37.
  • Drake's dominance extends across the Hot 100's upper tier: he holds nine of the top 10 spots, with only Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" interrupting the sweep at No. 5. That run pushes his career total to 90 top-10 hits and makes him the first artist with more than 400 entries on the chart overall, per Variety.
  • On the albums chart, Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour opened at Nos. 1, 2, and 3, respectively, with Iceman becoming his 15th No. 1 album and giving him the male solo artist record in that category as well, breaking Jay-Z's record. He is tied with Taylor Swift for most solo act No. 1 albums, but he'll need five more No. 1s to beat the Beatles' record.
