An anonymous call has pushed the search for Savannah Guthrie's missing mother across the border into Mexico. Volunteers with Buscando Corazones Nogales say they were tipped off in May that 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie was buried in a stream near Mariposa, Mexico, close to Nogales along the US-Mexico line, reports People. The Tucson resident was last seen entering the garage of her home on Jan. 31; she was reported missing the next day after failing to join an online church service.

The volunteer group began searching the stream on May 16 but found nothing, then returned on Wednesday after a second call with more details and again came up empty, local outlets report. A third sweep is planned for Tuesday. "The anonymous source said she is here. Yes, we will continue searching," the volunteer group says, per People. Authorities in Arizona say they're aware of the tip: Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos wrote on X that Mexican officials haven't contacted his office but that the investigation remains active. The FBI's Phoenix office said it has no update beyond confirming the case is ongoing, per People.
