One crew member is unaccounted for after a Navy helicopter operating from the USS George HW Bush went down in the Arabian Sea during an emergency water landing early Wednesday, the service says. The MH-60S Sea Hawk had four people on board; three were pulled from the water and are listed in stable condition aboard the carrier, Military.com reports. Officials said Navy assets in the region are searching for the missing crew member and that there's no sign hostile fire played a role.

Officials have not released the crew member's name, the helicopter's mission, the exact location of the incident, or whether the aircraft has been recovered. The MH-60S, widely used for everything from combat support to medical evacuation, was deployed with the Norfolk-based carrier, which has been in the Arabian Sea region since April as part of operations against Iran. Last week, US Central Command said the George HW Bush was one of two aircraft carriers operating in the area "as US forces remain present and vigilant," USA Today reports.
