Two people are dead and 10 others are injured after a suspect plowed a vehicle into people near a train station in French city of Caen, authorities say. The vehicle, reportedly driven "deliberately" at pedestrians outside a bar opposite the station, was later found about 12 miles away in the port town of Ouistreham, where police arrested a 26-year-old man born in Russia, per the BBC. They do not currently suspect terrorism, noting the unnamed suspect was known only for traffic offenses.

Reports indicate a fight broke out at the bar before the vehicle struck people waiting for a tram. Seven of the injured are in critical condition and three have minor wounds, according to local officials. Caen's senior security official said all victims are male, aged 17 to 40, and mostly foreign nationals, per Euronews. Residents have been urged to avoid the area.
