Saudi Arabia's main airport in Riyadh came under fire for a second straight day, adding to a deadly weekend that has put the kingdom's air defenses under fresh scrutiny. Authorities said an "unidentified projectile" hit Terminal 4 of King Khalid International Airport on Sunday, Reuters reports, sparking a fire and injuring an undisclosed number of people, while a cruise missile was intercepted nearby. Also on Sunday, Houthi media reported that Saudi aircraft struck the international airport in Sanaa, the Yemeni capital, per the New York Times. Yemen's Houthi movement publicly claimed responsibility for the attacks in Saudi Arabia and warned airlines, staff, and travelers to stay away from airports.

The airport remains closed, though a major international energy conference in Riyadh is proceeding. The Houthis said they also targeted Dammam's airport and two Aramco installations, claims Saudi officials and the oil giant have not confirmed. From Yemen, the group threatened harsher retaliation if Riyadh continues its stepped-up air campaign, which it said included 124 strikes in the past day. "Worse is yet to come," a Houthi-run ministry warned. President Trump said the US is weighing joining Saudi strikes in the Yemen conflict, which has widened during a broader war on Iran. An analyst said Saudi Arabia will be turning to Pakistan, Turkey, Syria, Egypt, the US, and other allies for help, per NBC News.
