A moment of levity has managed to surface out of Saturday night's shooting at the White House correspondents' dinner. A video clip of one guest casually continuing to eat his salad as others ducked for cover and Secret Service agents secured the facility has gone viral, notes TMZ. Watch it here via NBC News or on social media. The guest dubbed "salad man" at USA Today turns out to be Michael Glantz, a big-name agent at Creative Artists Agency. One of his clients is Wolf Blitzer of CNN.
"Not every day you see something like that go down," Glantz tells TMZ, explaining that he felt safe and wanted to watch the excitement. In a separate interview with the New York Times, Glantz adds that he's a New Yorker and thus was unfazed. "We live with sirens and activity happening all the time. I wasn't scared." Two other factors on why he didn't hit the floor: He has a bad back and is a self-described "hygiene freak," he tells the Times. "There was no freaking way I was getting in my new tux on the dirty Hilton floor. It was not happening."
