A Federal Aviation Administration engineer in New Hampshire is accused of turning his political anger into a threat against the president. Prosecutors say 35-year-old Dean DelleChiaie of Nashua, a mechanical engineer with the FAA, emailed the White House from his personal email on April 21 with a clear threat, NBC News reports.

  • He allegedly wrote: "I, Dean DelleChiaie, am going neutralize/kill you - Donald John Trump - because you decided to kill kids - and say that it was War - when in reality - it is terrorism. God knows your actions and where you belong."

Court documents say the FAA had already flagged him in January after he allegedly used his work computer to search how to harm Trump, how to get a gun into a federal facility, and for the home addresses of Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and information about their children. Prosecutors say he also searched for what percentage of the population wants the president dead, along with the phrase "I am going to kill Donald John Trump," ABC News reports. According to to court documents, the FAA contacted the Secret Service after DelleChaie asked the IT department to clear his work computer's search history, reports the BBC.

When he was interviewed by local police and the Secret Service in February, DelleChiaie allegedly admitted the searches and said he owned three guns, drank to blackout, used marijuana daily, and was in therapy. He "expressed, in substance, that what motivated him to conduct these searches was that he was upset with the current administration based on multiple subjects, including the election, presidential pardons, and the 'Epstein files,'" investigators said. He appeared in court Tuesday, charged with interstate communication of a threat, and was ordered held without bail. He will face up to five years in prison if convicted.
