Uber's boss is riding with a less-than-perfect score of his own. Dara Khosrowshahi revealed on the podcast Sourcery that his passenger rating sits at 4.83 out of 5—slightly below Uber's average rider score of 4.89, reports Mint. "I gotta get to 4.9," he said. Even the chief executive isn't immune to a system that can get users kicked off the app if their rating falls too low, though Uber doesn't disclose that cutoff, notes Business Insider.
Khosrowshahi says he tries to boost his score by showing up promptly, asking permission before using his phone, and tipping generously—$10 to $15 on a $30 ride, by his account. He also advises riders not to slam doors and to be considerate about food and drinks, echoing tips from Uber's own guidance. As for whether drivers recognize him, he estimated it's about a 50-50 split: some talk shop about the app, others treat him like any other passenger.
