Nearly a year and a half after the death of Mango founder Isak Andic on a Catalan mountainside, his son has been detained in Spain in connection with the case. Police in Catalonia said Tuesday that they have arrested Jonathan Andic and are questioning him over the 71-year-old billionaire's December 2024 fall into a ravine while the two were hiking in Montserrat, near Barcelona, per the Guardian. The death was initially treated as a hiking accident, but police later began examining it as a potential killing.

Police reportedly found Jonathan's story didn't match up with what was found at the scene. He claimed he was walking a bit ahead of his father and only realized he'd fallen when he heard stones falling, per People. Police reportedly also found he'd called his father's partner, professional golfer Estefania Knuth, before calling for help. According to reports, Knuth later described the relationship between father and son as fraught. A judge shifted Jonathan's status from witness to possible suspect last September. Upon his arrest, the family said he was "giving a statement as part of the investigation," El Periodico reports, via People. "At this time, we cannot add much more because the investigation is under seal."
