Five months ago, Pete Davidson and girlfriend Elsie Hewitt happily announced their first child. Today, Hewitt says she is solo parenting after the high-profile couple split, reports People. "I have a baby to take care of, and I also have to work and make money, and I'm doing it on my own, which is hard," the 30-year-old model and actress said in a TikTok video. In the clip and other social media posts, some of which have been deleted, Hewitt left the distinct impression she was getting little or no support from SNL alum Davidson, financial or otherwise. However, a number of outlets are disputing that.
USA Today and Page Six, for example, talk to unnamed insiders who say Davidson is covering all living expenses for Hewitt and daughter Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson. "His main priority right now is making sure that Elsie and Scottie are looked after, so it's utterly confusing to everyone who knows them why she would possibly post anything about him not supporting her," says the Page Six source. Before Scottie's birth, Davidson had reflected on his late father, a firefighter who died responding to the 9/11 attacks, saying he believes his dad is proud and adding, "If anything, maybe he's coming back through the baby."
