The RSVP has arrived, and it's a no. President Trump said Friday that he won't attend his eldest son's weekend wedding because he's too busy being president, reports People. "While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so," the president wrote on Truth Social. He added his congratulations to the couple.

The decision came after Trump on Thursday called the timing of the wedding "not good for me," pointing to the war in Iran and other issues. The White House schedule, which had listed Trump as spending the weekend at his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey, was updated after his post to show him remaining in Washington instead, notes the Hill. Don Jr., 48, and Bettina Anderson, 39, are getting married on a private island in the Bahamas, reports Page Six. This is the first marriage for Anderson and the second for Trump Jr., who shares five children with ex-wife Vanessa Trump.
