Americans' beer preferences are now mapped out by a search bar. A new analysis by Innerbody used a year of Google Trends data across all 50 states and Washington, DC, to see which beers people are looking up most—and where. Researchers first built a list of nationally searched brews, then narrowed it to 36 brands after stripping out non-beer-related searches tied to names. They then examined regional patterns and weighted searches by overall volume to produce "interest index" scores both for each beer and each state. The result: a ranking of the country's favorite prominent beers. Without ado:
