Kim Kardashian has walked away from a Paris court with a symbolic payout after an armed heist in which she was tied up and robbed of her engagement ring. A judge awarded Kardashian 1 euro—about $1.15—in damages tied to the 2016 robbery in her Paris hotel room, reports People. It's not a snub: That was the amount she asked for, per the AP. Her friend Simone Harouche, who was at the hotel that night, received the same sum. A former hotel receptionist was granted about $126,000, and the hotel itself nearly $58,000.
Eight defendants were convicted in the case, and they became known in France as the "Grandpa Robbers" because of their ages, notes Reuters. They disguised themselves as police officers and wore ski masks during the robbery. Kardashian previously testified she thought she was going to die during the ordeal. She lost about $6 million of jewelry, including the engagement ring given to her by Kanye West, now Ye. It has never been recovered.
