An Iowa clan just turned a family quirk into an unusual world record. Guinness World Records has certified that five generations of the Harlow family all share the same birthday: Sept. 14, reports UPI. It starts with Wilber back in 1907, then daughter Addie, grandson Fred Harlow, great-granddaughter Emma Bell, and great-great-grandson Arthur—all born on Sept. 14 in alternating boy-girl order.

"I grew up with my grandma saying, 'You have to have a boy on Sept. 14,'" Emma Bell tells KMTV. "Every year, is what she would say. I went early with my first, so I was bound and determined to make it our due date." Arthur's arrival "right on time" last year pushed the family past the record-tying four-generation mark.
